This week, I received my Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice magazine in the mail and realized why print is dying.
Below is a list of the Readers’ Choice ranking of cruise lines for 2016. This is how it actually appears in the magazine and online.
I closed the magazine when I realized that Celebrity was in three categories with different ratings and I would have to do research to decipher the ships they were discussing in each category.
Today, I went to the Conde Nast Traveler site and found an article that does not appear in the print magazine, which explains at least one category.
Perhaps, the Conde Nast Traveler site makes more revenue through ads and clicks than the print magazine and therefore gets better content. I really don’t know. But I will certainly not extend my print subscription to the magazine. Why pay for something when it’s better for free?
